- September 8: Nitro Type first launches to the public. It is announced in a news post that development for the game had been going on for over six months prior to this and that Austin first created the idea for the game over five years ago.
- September 19: The racing rewards system gets tweaked, as announced in a news post.
- October 4: Sean Wrona joins the site and would hold the fastest speed legitimately set on the site until 2018.

- The Nitro Type test site gets used for the first time, including 3 new features:
- The achievements page gets redesigned.
- The ability to sell cars is implemented.
- The "Trucks" and "Flying Machines" dealership sections are added.
