History
Shop Sections
  +
*2/6/21: The Shop is introduced in a news post. Initially, it just contained what is now known as the Nitro Daily Items Shop section.
  +
*4/29/21: The Shop is modified to include five additional dealerships.
  +
*10/1/21: The Hallowampus Shop section is added. It is the first "pop-up dealership," which is a dealership that is available for a limited amount of time. These types of dealerships were hinted at in the news post announcing the five additional dealerships.
  +
*10/31/21: The Hallowampus Shop section is removed.
  +
*11/28/21: The Xmaxx Cave Shop section is added.
  +
*1/17/22: The Xmaxx Cave Shop section is removed. However, the Xmaxx 2021 season was extended by 14 days, so the season finishes with no pop-up dealership.
  +
*4/13/22: The Sticker Stan dealership is added.
  +
*11/28/22: The Xmaxx Igloo Shop section is added.
  +
*1/15/23: The Xmaxx Igloo Shop section is removed.
  +
*2/20/23: An icon showing how much cash the player has is added in the top right corner of the Shop page. This cash balance is also shown when buying or viewing an item.
  +
*2/24/23: Loh's Cars, Midtown Motors, and the Hai Auto Haus Shop sections are added. The five dealerships that were introduced on April 29, 2021 are removed.
  +
*8/24/23: Retro Rewind and Nitro Cash Hub Shop sections are added.

Structure
The 'Nitro Type Daily Items' dealership of the Shop is divided into two sections: "Featured Items" and "Daily Items". The Featured Items section consists of four items. One of them is always a car, and the other three can be either another car, a sticker, or a trail. These items are automatically replaced weekly on Sundays at 12 AM Coordinated Universal Time.

  +
Glitches
The Daily Items section usually consists of a car and three loot items (such as a trail or sticker). The four commodities are automatically replaced every day at 12 AM Coordinated Universal Time.

Trivia
* Partway through April 29, 2021, the Keyboard Smasher title was removed from its daily rotation, following the release of the new dealerships.

* Because the Shop rotations are based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) timestamps, the times do not adjust with daylight savings.

* The Dealership URL displays a duplicate of the Shop page.

*The dealership sections are sorted from lowest cost to highest cost.

*The dealership sections are put to the left of the Shop.

*Users must be logged in in order to view or access the Shop.

*On August 22, 2021, the two sections were doubled with the addition of two extra featured items and daily items. This resulted in four featured items and four daily items. This change was not permanent, but temporary expansions of the daily and featured items were added multiple times.

*On October 1, 2021, the Hallowampus Shop section was added. It was the first "pop-up dealership," which is a dealership that is available for a limited amount of time. This confirmed that pop-up dealerships would appear as hinted in the dealerships news post.

* On February 23rd, 2021, the Hydrova Howler, the I Love Cats title and the Class of 2021 sticker were released several hours before the intended time, replacing the Blitz MP 427, I Love Dogs title, and the Dumpster Fire sticker (which was released earlier than 7PM EST for a short time that day). The admins later chose to bring back the replaced shop items on February 24th, 2021.

*On May 29th, 2021, there was a glitch where some racers saw the Liberty Fastback in the shop, while others saw the SpaceZ Crew Draco.

* Occasionally after the Daily Items section of the Shop updates, the item refresh timer says it has 1 day and 23 hours until it updates, instead of 23 hours. This usually gets fixed automatically within a few minutes.

History

  • 2/6/21: The Shop is introduced in a news post. Initially, it just contained what is now known as the Nitro Daily Items Shop section.
  • 4/29/21: The Shop is modified to include five additional dealerships.
  • 10/1/21: The Hallowampus Shop section is added. It is the first "pop-up dealership," which is a dealership that is available for a limited amount of time. These types of dealerships were hinted at in the news post announcing the five additional dealerships.
  • 10/31/21: The Hallowampus Shop section is removed.
  • 11/28/21: The Xmaxx Cave Shop section is added.
  • 1/17/22: The Xmaxx Cave Shop section is removed. However, the Xmaxx 2021 season was extended by 14 days, so the season finishes with no pop-up dealership.
  • 4/13/22: The Sticker Stan dealership is added.
  • 11/28/22: The Xmaxx Igloo Shop section is added.
  • 1/15/23: The Xmaxx Igloo Shop section is removed.
  • 2/20/23: An icon showing how much cash the player has is added in the top right corner of the Shop page. This cash balance is also shown when buying or viewing an item.
  • 2/24/23: Loh's Cars, Midtown Motors, and the Hai Auto Haus Shop sections are added. The five dealerships that were introduced on April 29, 2021 are removed.
  • 8/24/23: Retro Rewind and Nitro Cash Hub Shop sections are added.

Trivia

  • The different dealerships are sorted from lowest cost to highest cost.
    • The names of the current permanent dealerships Loh's Cars, Midtown Motors and Hai Auto Haus are inspired by the increasing price from low to high and the cars becoming higher in quality.
  • Users must be logged in to view or access the Shop.

Glitches

Glitch
  • There used to be a glitch when players clicked the purchase screen and left the page for a period of time. When they came back, the animation of the sides of the track would freeze and the car would leave an afterimage behind when moving. This glitch is now fixed.
