News is a form of a blog on Nitro Type. Admins are the only ones who can write news posts. News posts usually include information on events, new cars, and product updates. On April 5th, 2018, Nitro Type admins started monthly interviews with a random top 10 team every season, however this stopped in July 2018 due to TheRedBaron ,the person who did the interviews, being fired. Learn more about it here. On March 18, 2019, the ability to post comments was restricted to Gold Members only.
On August 8, 2019 the cooldown between posting comments was changed from 20 minutes to 8 hours, leaving many people outraged. On August 12, 2019, the ability to post comments on news posts was removed entirely. [1] And on August 13 all news comments became deleted, or unable to view.
As such, the fact that gold members were able to post comments on the news is irrelevant as are housekeeping rules.
